Upon transferring to UC Santa Cruz in Fall 2012, I witnessed a very vibrant community. Everybody in this city or on this campus I have come into contact with is very friendly. My interactions with neighbors is mostly positive. The streets here are mostly safe.

I can tie all of these thoughts into my project by examining every neighborhood that I have lived in and relate that to social justice and transportation. I can do this by gathering data regarding the statistics about who lives in those respective communities and how they go from point A to point B.

  1. What makes the community vibrant? Does street design, transportation, community places and spaces affect the way people interact? You say you could compare communities you live in... I wish you had shown us more in your post. Perhaps your final can go into more about this, if it interests you.

    1. Oh! I just noticed you posted another response to the community question. It looks like you go into more depth in that response.
